Ever since I received my CSC results I had the dream of gaining a place at Oxford University. From this point, it was the members of staff within the geography department that gave me that continued support and encouragement which eventually enabled me to succeed in reaching my dreams of reading geography at Hertford College. Without these individuals and the breadth of the geography and world development courses that were offered at Sharnbrook, this would never have been possible. What also proved to be invaluable to my application process was the opportunity to take both my GCSE and A level maths one year early, which was fairly unique to Sharnbrook. Not only do I feel that this helped me to stand out amongst others, but my qualification meant that my offer was for two as opposed to three A level subjects. This relieved so much pressure in my final A level year, which helped make my overall experience that much more enjoyable.
